Overview
The International Cricket Council, whose headquarters are in Dubai, commissioned Tobasgo to create the event brand for the ICC Women’s Championship – the new qualification format for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017.
The event sees the top eight sides lock horns in a multi-year, bilateral qualifying competition that will lead into the pinnacle event in women’s cricket, the ICC Women’s World Cup, to be hosted by the ECB in England and Wales in 2017.
The new event logo reflects the the global nature of the event, and is based on the eight participating teams and the trophy they are striving to achieve. Implementations included a full suite of logo formats, brand guide, media backdrop and website design based on the existing ICC website template.
“…we are very pleased with the design and (this project) has confirmed to us again that Tobasgo are a great partner to work with on these areas” said David Thorley, ICC Women’s Cricket Manager, ICC.
ICC subsequently commissioned a further two event brands from Tobasgo - ICC World Cricket League Championship and ICC Intercontinental Cup.
