The ICC Cricket World Cup is the second most watched ‘single sport’ standalone event in the world, attracting a huge global TV audience, ranked only second to the FIFA World Cup.
Cricket has over 1 billion fans worldwide and we are very pleased to be working with both the global governing body, the International Cricket Council, and the governing body for cricket in England & Wales, the ECB, on projects for the 2015 edition of the event and looking forward to the 2019 edition to be hosted by ECB.
Projects include social media campaign creative, working with ECB and Two Circles, to create and deliver social media campaigns that grow fan engagement ahead of ECB hosting 3 major global cricket events – ICC Champions Trophy and ICC Women’s World Cup in 2017, and the ICC’s flagship event, the Cricket World Cup in 2019.
Having been awarded an unprecedented number of ICC global events, ECB also want to establish local partnerships with host towns and cities and we were asked to create a brochure ‘calling’ towns and cities to ‘Be Part of It’.
As part of the media communications for the 2015 cricket world cup, we created the media guide, available only to event media via the ICC’s online media zone.
Since the 2015 edition we have worked with both ECB and ICC on the preparations and material for the 2019 event culminating in media facing material once again available exclusively via the ICC online media zone.
