Tobasgo Creative was awarded a brief from England Hockey back in March 2013 to develop and implement a brand refresh as they replaced their original entity, the England Hockey Board.
England Hockey gained momentum from their success as a part of Team GB during the London 2012 Olympics, and even greater success at Rio 2016, with the women winning the gold medal.
Led by Chief Executive Sally Munday, England Hockey won the bid to host the Women’s World Cup here in 2018, with support from UK Sport and Sport England.
They have lots to celebrate and the brand refresh has been the visual representation of strategic change.
Much of the initial brand refresh has been for England Hockey’s internal and corporate communications documentation to create a consistent look and feel, with the introduction of a comprehensive Brand Guide.
The refreshed brand has been rolled out across consumer facing material such as the website, and publications including the England Hockey quarterly magazine, ‘Hockey’ and extended to development pathway branding, and key stakeholder relationship brand representations.
Tobasgo has worked with England Hockey on a number of projects, including creating the branding for their business club, The 1908 Club, and a range of online, offline and event branding and collateral. Tobasgo also produced their Strategic Plan document, launched in November 2013 and entitled ‘A Nation Where Hockey Matters’.
Jonathan Cockcroft, Commercial and Membership Director, worked with Tobasgo during this time “Tobasgo understand how we work, our timescales and objectives and bring our projects to life swiftly and most importantly creatively. We are all very excited to move forward to the next exciting stages for England Hockey with a cohesive branding strategy for all of our communications & materials.”
