"Over 150 clubs have signed up to deliver Back to Hockey during our national campaign in the spring 2014, and that number continues to grow. This includes almost 50 clubs who will be running Back to Hockey sessions for the first time."

September 2011 saw the launch of Back to Hockey with brand identity created by Tobasgo Creative, accompanied by an easy-to-use identity toolkit to enable clubs to produce their own publicity material easily and cost effectively. The campaign received praise for its clarity and appeal and served as an example for other sports to engage the public to get back into a sport ahead of London 2012.

The ‘Back To Hockey’ programme, set to attract over 15,000 women back to one of the UK’s most popular Olympic sports, offers informal sessions aimed at women looking for a great way to stay in shape and have some fun in a team environment without needing to commit to ongoing club membership, regular training and competition schedules.

Between April and June 2014 England Hockey will be promoting the highly successful ‘Back To Hockey’ programme, creating a buzz nationally and driving new players to clubs.

Other initiatives to drive hockey participation include a series of promotional assets for Rush Hockey, including the ‘Rush Roulette’ digital competition to build the Rush Hockey CRM programme and database.
